Simha (meaning joy, happiness in Hebrew) looked like a glowing golden nugget when he was born. It was love at first sight and his tragic death from a fall coursing broke his body and my heart forever.
This remarkable photograph of Simha running was a lucky shot, just point, shoot and see what’s on the film. And there was Simha, forever the image of the fast, fit Saluki that he was, with a happy grin on his face!
His life was so short, his loss such a shock….yet, I look for him in each litter. I know he’ll come again…there will be a puppy that will glow like a golden nugget and there will be Simha.
